Most issues can be resolved quickly by checking the platform requirements and the purchase path you used.

System and setup

  • ToPaste requires macOS 14.0 or later.
  • Clipboard history is stored locally by default.
  • Optional iCloud sync requires that the user is signed in to iCloud on macOS.
  • Some file sync behavior may require macOS permissions such as Full Disk Access, depending on the content being copied.

Purchases and trial

  • The app offers a 7-day free trial when iCloud is available.
  • If you purchased from the Mac App Store, use the in-app restore purchase option.
  • If you purchased a license key from the website, open the purchase screen and choose Enter License Key.
  • Payment details for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

Common questions

These answers are intended to help both users and App Review verify what the app does and how support is provided.

Does ToPaste create a separate user account?

No standalone ToPaste account is required for normal use. The app may use iCloud availability and an anonymous CloudKit user identifier for trial management and optional sync.

What data is needed for website license activation?

The app sends the entered license key, a device identifier derived from the Mac, and the anonymous iCloud user identifier used for verification. Clipboard contents are not sent for activation.

Why might the free trial be unavailable?

The free trial relies on iCloud availability. If the Mac is not signed in to iCloud or iCloud is unavailable, the app may ask the user to sign in or restore an existing purchase instead.
